Carl Bouthillette - Screening
Carl has over 30 years of medical device and biotechnology experience, and is passionate about helping entrepreneurs succeed in the emerging HealthTech sector. He is the Co-chair of HealthTech Capital’s screening committee and enjoys working and mentoring startup CEOs.
Prior to founding Metis Lighthouse, Carl served in leadership roles at Abbott and Guidant in general management, global marketing, new product development, and geography marketing. He has experience leading teams in Asia, Europe, Canada, and the United States. Prior to joining Guidant, Carl was a successful entrepreneur with a leading custom DNA, peptides, and genes startup. Most recently, Carl was a member of the California Health Care Foundation’s Innovation Fund making investments in early-stage companies with solutions to transform California’s safety net care delivery system.
Carl holds a B.S. degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from INSEAD in France.
